Our Fee Structure
We provide part time or full-time, live-in or live-out, short term or long-term care, and we typically have a three-hour daily minimum at any given time. Caregivers do personal care first and Nannies do childcare first, they make meals at appropriate times, and do light housekeeping and laundry as time permits. Caregivers and Nannies can drive clients or children to and from school, appointments, and activities. There is a charge for mileage. We have two methods of service; one is our Contract method and the other is our Placement method.
The Contract System
The Contract System is mostly used for on-call, or occasional hours, or for part-time or short-term situations, but can also be utilized for regular ongoing full-time service. It is more convenient for the client, as you pay Cardinal to take care of the wages and remittances, and all paperwork involved. Cardinal pays the caregiver and takes care of all deductions and benefits, (9) statutory holidays, vacation pay and worker’s compensation. We thoroughly vet all our Caregivers and Nannies.
You will pay a registration fee and sign a contract that entitles you to use the service when required and have access to the back-up service. There is a flat hourly rate that you will be billed bi-weekly. We provide receipts for income tax purposes. An hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly cost can be determined based on individual circumstances. Please contact us to discuss your needs and rates for this service.
The Placement System
This system applies if you need a caregiver full-time or part-time on a live-in or live-out basis for long term care, and you wish to be the employer, and do the payroll and remittances yourself. For a single placement fee, Cardinal will advertise your position, screen and interview all interested applicants. We provide a caregiver or nanny for you to interview, and you hire the caregiver or nanny of your choice. They will become your employee, and you will be responsible for wages, benefits and deductions, statutory holidays, vacation pay and Worker’s Compensation remittances. Cardinal will provide a placement package with the information regarding wages and benefits, the proper forms to be used and will assist you with the process. Please contact us to discuss your needs and rates for this service.
